Software Engineer

Engineering / Full Time

We are a well-funded, fast growing, Australian tech business operating on the global stage with offices in Sydney and London. 

Big Picture is connecting the healthcare ecosystem. Our platform is the underlying infrastructure that enables new models of collaborative, distributed and intelligent healthcare to be delivered, optimising patient outcomes and making smarter use of healthcare resources. 

We are looking for an experienced  Front End Engineer who will work closely with our clinical, design and development teams to build and deliver cutting edge applications to completely change the delivery of healthcare globally. This is an incredibly exciting time to join the business and get involved with advanced and innovative product builds. 

The role will be based in London. Hybrid/remote work possible based in the UK. 

The Role.

  • Build experiences and interfaces that clinicians will love to use

  • Collaborate with our Product, Design and Development teams to iterate on the design and implementation of our product

  • Work with our backend engineers to create performant applications

  • Build a dynamic and reusable frontend system

  • Conduct code reviews

  • Identify areas of improvement and advocate for best practices

About You.  

  • You are Curious

  • You have experience in the Medical Product space (nice to have)

  • You have experience with SaaS companies (nice to have)

  • You have experience in start-up companies (nice to have)

  • You have had some exposure to (Hl7, FIHR, DICOM) (nice to have) 

The right person will have

  • 4+ years of relevant experience

  • A high regard for UX and product design

  • Experience building SPAs in a modern Javascript framework (we use Vue)

  • Experience developing component-based design systems

  • Experience working with testing frameworks (Jest/Mocha)

  • Experience in leading a development team

Bonus Points

  • Experience working with Vue, Typescript, TailwindCSS, Zeplin/Storybook

  • Experience working with CornerstoneJS or similar medical imaging libraries

  • Studies in, exposure to, or experience in a medical/clinical/life sciences/discipline

  • Multi-lingual in English and at least one other language
