Product Designer

Design / Full Time

We are a well-funded, fast growing, Australian tech business operating on the global stage with offices in Sydney and London.

Big Picture is connecting the healthcare ecosystem. Our platform is the underlying infrastructure that enables new models of collaborative, distributed and intelligent healthcare to be delivered, optimising patient outcomes and making smarter use of healthcare resources.

We are looking for an experienced Product Designer who will collaborate closely with our clinical, design and development teams across the UK and Australia to build and deliver cutting edge applications to completely change the delivery of healthcare globally. This is an incredibly exciting time to join the business and get involved with advanced and innovative product builds.

The role will be based in London with hybrid/remote work possible based in the UK.

This is an incredibly exciting time to join the business and get involved with advanced and innovative product builds.

The Role

Working within a cross functional scrum team you will be creatively solving user, clinical and technical problems with your peers. You will be contributing to new and existing features within our platform responsible for the entire process from problem definition to polished UI, utilising user insights and analytics to make informed design decisions throughout.

As a powerful generalist, you’ll communicate effortlessly with everyone within your scrum team. You’ll work closely with developers to release features we’re proud to call our own. You’ll be adept at human centered design thinking and can handle design and development kick-offs and handovers whilst keeping designs practical and buildable. If you don't, you have the confidence and initiative to pick up these skills quickly.

As part of the design chapter, you'll also have plenty of experience developing and supporting a Design System across the organisation; as well as educating your team on and forwarding our design principles.

Whilst working closely with a Product owner and Product leads, you'll have the initiative to manage your workload and deliver milestones, make significant decisions and shape the product for our users.

Our Core Values.

Patient first

Big Picture was founded to improve every patient outcome we touch. This mission drives each decision we make.

360 degrees

It is what our name is all about - we see the bigger picture. Our mission is to globally optimise healthcare, not locally optimise a subset of the disconnected system. That is why we need to bring along the entire ecosystem to have the desired impact.

Fail fast

What we are doing at Big Picture is ground breaking and no world changing innovation is discovered through caution. We encourage ourselves to keep moving forward, making smart data-driven decisions quickly. When we fail we need to be agile enough to pivot quickly and go again.
