Software Engineer

Big Picture is connecting the healthcare ecosystem. Our platform is the underlying infrastructure that enables new models of collaborative, distributed and intelligent healthcare to be delivered, optimising patient outcomes and making smarter use of healthcare resources. 

We are looking for an experienced QA and test engineer who will work closely with our clinical, design and development teams to build and deliver cutting edge applications to completely change the delivery of healthcare globally. This is an incredibly exciting time to join the business and get involved with advanced and innovative product builds. 

The role will be based in London. Hybrid/remote work possible based in the UK. 

The Role.

You will be leading the way as the first QA Engineer in the UK, working with a new cross functional scrum team. You will report into the QA Chapter Lead in Sydney, and so will work on wider QA initiatives as well.

Skills.

  • Strong QA background in back-end API and web front-end testing

  • Experience designing and implementing test plans, automation scripts and scenarios


  • Experience of both manual and automated testing tools e.g Selenium

  • Familiarity with AWS, Cypress or similar

  • Strong understanding of Agile development & CI/CD processes

  • Exposure to Java, JavaScript and modern PHP applications would be nice to have

  • You’ll manage your own workload and deliver high-quality testing processes & procedures

  • You’ll know black/grey/white box testing techniques and continuous learning

  • You’ll understand the internal software structures, to assist in clean code standards across the teams

  • You’ll collaborate resources across the product, clinical and technical teams for QA cases

  • You have an interest in helping teams achieve a "shift-left" testing approach by continuous Quality coaching

The wider technology stack is - Vue.js, PHP, Python, Java for integration and hosted on AWS.
