Technical Product Manager

We are looking for an experienced Technical Product Manager who will work closely with our clinical, design, and development teams to build and deliver cutting-edge applications to completely change the delivery of healthcare globally.

The Role

As the Technical Product Manager of the API and Integration team, you will understand the business strategy and translate this into a product strategy, from ideation through to delivery. You will work closely with clinical, regulatory, design, architects, and engineers to become an SME in understanding the healthcare market API, Data, and Integration needs and being able to identify opportunities and areas for growth.

In constant collaboration with the Engineering and Architecture teams - your inputs regarding markets and eco-system needs are key to their shaping of architectural direction, reference models, and technical standards that will guide technical product development and governance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the product vision and strategy for all APIs and integrations while also helping identify third-party APIs that are needed for business success with scalability and data interoperability in mind.

  • Define, articulate and communicate the API & Integration product vision with the developers, upper management, customers, and any other stakeholders.

  • Triage and prioritise technical support tickets and create a strategy to reduce the number of tickets and improve platform performance.

  • Manage the production and development of APIs, while cultivating a market for the users. The final objective is to monetize APIs and generate revenue.

  • Engage with customers, develop insights into what is possible, and uncover unarticulated customer needs to drive customer success

  • Define product requirements, user stories, mockups, and acceptance criteria in collaboration with engineering or independently and implement product roadmaps. 

  • Manage and prioritise the product backlog in your area of responsibility, balancing the needs and requests of multiple parties: customers, Product Managers, Engineering, and senior leadership.

  • Manage the delivery, and creation of business cases to justify additional resources or product investment.

  • Balance competitive advantage, customer need, and pure innovation

  • Work with customer service to ensure that all stakeholders get proper access to the APIs, including developers and end-users alike.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a talent for the precise articulation of customer problems

The right person will have

  • 5+ years experience as a PM working on API & Integrations

  • Experience with OpenEHR, SNOMED, FHIR

  • Ability to quickly zoom out and see the bigger strategic picture, as well as zoom in and roll up your sleeves to get the nitty-gritty of product definition and corner cases

  • Strong analytical skills are a must. 

  • Thrive in ambiguity

  • Demonstrated ability to work with engineers and designers to ship products

  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves in a fast-paced startup environment

  • An eye for good design

  • Experience working on APIs, Saas, and/or Enterprise products

Bonus Points 

  • Experience in Healthtech

  • SQL proficiency is strongly preferred

  • Basic understanding of Java & Python 

  • Knowledge of database architecture

  • Prior experience as a Software engineer or Data scientist
